MIRI: A group of about 130 semi-nomadic Penan settlers living along the Miri-Limbang border have staged a blockade along a timber road, alleging that logging operations have destroyed their water catchment reservoir.
The protest, which started on Saturday, prompted the police and the management of the affected timber companies to send up teams of negotiators to the site yesterday to try and pacify the angry Penans.
