714 rape cases reported this year

POLICE received 714 reports of rape and 666 reports of cases involving outraging of modesty between January and June this year.

Deputy Home Minister Datuk Chor Chee Heung said 598 of the rape cases and 454 of the outraging modesty cases were resolved during the same period.
