KUALA LUMPUR: Some 1,000 Malaysians are likely to register as candidates for the Malaysian Space Mission, director- general of Outer Space Science Studies Prof Datuk Dr Mazlan Othman said.
The selection process for the first Malaysian to be sent to space would begin at the end of this year, she said yesterday.
