EC may ease rules for registration

PUTRAJAYA: The Election Commission will consider relaxing voter registration conditions to encourage more people to sign up as voters, its chairman Tan Sri Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman said. 

He said the commission might resort to this because 1.8 million people had failed to register although they were eligible to do so.
