KUALA LUMPUR: Amendments to the Income Tax Act 1967 are expected to be passed after September which will allow the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) to charge “serious” tax defaulters under criminal law.
“We are tightening loose ends in the Act. We want to amend the Act so that tax defaulters can be charged under criminal law.
