SERI KEMBANGAN: Wisma Putra officials will meet their Brunei counterparts on July 22 to begin solving a long-running border dispute and discuss other territorial matters, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Bernard Dompok said yesterday.
He said the meeting follows Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s visit to Brunei last week when both countries agreed that the overlapping claims on Limbang and disputes over the offshore exclusive economic zone be settled quickly and amicably.
