KUALA LUMPUR: The All Women’s Action Society (Awam) is planning a one-day rally themed the Citizens Against Rape march at Bangsar Shopping Complex here aimed at promoting a violence-free community.
Its co-ordinator Maria Chin Abdullah said the march, from 2.30pm to 5pm on July 20, would push to make public places safer, in light of the spate of rape cases, particularly the recent high profile case of the rape and murder of IT analyst Canny Ong.
