Utusan ordered to pay damages

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court ordered a reporter and two others to pay a total of RM300,000 in damages to a former director over an article published in Utusan Malaysia in 1996. 

Justice Ramly Ali ordered Utusan Malaysia reporter Johardy Ibrahim, its former chief editor Johan Jaafar and Utusan Melayu (Malaysia) Berhad to pay RM200,000 as general damages to former Negri Sembilan Immigration Department director Mohd Isa Mohd Tajol Aros.
