Utusan ordered to pay damages

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court ordered a reporter and two others to pay a total of RM300,000 in damages to a former director over an article published in Utusan Malaysia in 1996. 

Justice Ramly Ali ordered UtusanMalaysia reporter Johardy Ibrahim, itsformer chief editor Johan Jaafar andUtusan Melayu (Malaysia)Berhad to payRM200,000 as general damages to former Negri Sembilan Immigration Department director Mohd Isa Mohd TajolAros.
