SINGAPORE: Asean health ministers ended their special meeting on SARS in Cambodia yesterday, declaring the region SARS-free and agreeing to embark on a joint action plan to stop the resurgence of the deadly disease.
The health ministers of the 10-member regional grouping along with China, Japan and South Korea, met for two days in Siem Reap to discuss common strategies for combating the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and preparing to fight similar epidemics in the future.
