EC to keep simple system

PUTRAJAYA: The “simple system” of election currently practised in the country will be maintained at least until the year 2020 when the country is projected to reach the fully-developed status. 

Election Commission chairman Datuk Wira Abdul Rashid Abdul Rahman said the simple system where a party was considered a winner even by a single-seat majority had worked very well for the country, particularly in ensuring a strong and stable government.
