PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad has called on the public and private sectors not to depend on government stimulus packages to ensure sustainable long-term growth but to undertake strategic shifts to overcome weaknesses in the domestic economy.

“There is a need for a change in the mindset of people where they would have to start looking at reducing problems by themselves within the society for their own well-being and that of the country’s economy,” the Prime Minister said.
