KUALA LUMPUR: Good Friday services were conducted in an unprecedented manner for Catholics throughout the country yesterday in response to the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak.
Following advisories from church authorities telling parishioners not to kiss the cross during the veneration of the cross, they bowed, genuflected or used other forms of reverence.
