Suhakam: Resolve delay in deporting foreigners

KUALA LUMPUR: The delay in deporting foreigners after they have served their prison sentences needs to be addressed to prevent prison overcrowding and to ensure just treatment of these migrants. 

Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) commissioner Datuk Hamdan Adnan said a tour of some prisons in the country found that some foreigners were detained up to four months after they had finished serving their term.
