Man held over fatal assault

KUALA LUMPUR: A 39-year-old man who allegedly assaulted his wife to death over a family dispute was arrested after he surrendered to the police here yesterday. 

A police source said the man, said to be the owner of a company that produces TV commercials and dramas, walked into the Kepong police station at 3.30am and confessed that he had left his wife unconscious after repeatedly hitting her with a bottle of brandy. 

A police team who arrived at his home in Taman Seri Kepong Baru found his wife sprawled in a pool of blood in the hall.  

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Ayob Mohamed said the man has been remanded for 10 days.
