KUALA LUMPUR: The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry wants to set up a Retail Management Institute to train more workers to better run supermarkets, mini markets and sundry shops in the country.
Its secretary-general Datuk Sulaiman Mahbob said many retail outlets, especially in the rural areas, were poorly run because its workers lacked training.
