Ling: Don't point fingers, work to find solution

SEPANG: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) and the Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) should not point fingers at each other over Monday’s derailment of the Ekspres Timuran in Kampung Ladang Gemas in Gemas, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ling Liong Sik said. 

“The incident was flood-related. And we have to take all that (floods) into account to ensure the pond can withstand floods,” he said when asked to comment on KTMB’s allegations on Tuesday that a damaged irrigation pond managed by the Negri Sembilan DID had caused the derailment.
