MALL ATTRACTION ... Pristine North Sdn Bhd chairman and CEO, Colin P. Cummings showing his high quality cooked abalone and abalone sauce from Tasmania, Australia, at his booth at Midvalley Megamall in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

The banner above his booth says Gwei Lo Mai Pao Yi! which translated from Mandarin means the “Foreign Devil sells Abalone”.

The Gwei Lo is none other than Cummings who said his company was promoting abalone.

The abalone, packed in plastic with a shelf life of two-and-a-half years, is sold at RM450 per 500gm and RM180 per 100gm, depending on the quality.

His booth has been attracting much attention since it was set up last month.

Cummings said sales were “not bad” but added that he was told “Malaysians tend to buy last minute”.
