KEPALA BATAS: Many Malay students lack an interest in reading as their parents do not subscribe to daily newspapers, a Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) study has revealed.
USM's Assoc Prof Dr Aminah Ayob said 47% of Malay households in Penang did not subscribe to any dailies while 10.7% of Malay students also did not own any revision books.
