PENANG: A team of four scientists from Universiti Sains Malaysia set off for the Antarctica yesterday on a 10-week expedition to explore the world’s coldest, driest and windiest region.
They joined about 50 scientists from Australia, New Zealand and Japan on board the Australian Antarctic Division’s icebreaker Aurora-Australis, which left Hobart, Tasmania, at about 1pm Malaysian time.
