THOSE unfamiliar with Gen Z slang may find the term bewildering. “Beef”, as Urban Dictionary defines it, refers to having a conflict, disagreement, or feud with another person.

Early last month, Malaysian social media space was abuzz with the beef between two prominent food reviewers. The dispute began when one reviewer, let’s call him RK, expressed his dissatisfaction with the approach of his fellow food reviewer, CJ.
