UPCOMING election manifestos must focus on the needs, demands and mindsets of the people, says Prof Dr Sivamurugan Pandian, a political sociology lecturer from the School of Social Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia.

“Voters, especially those in urban areas, want assurance that the government will explore further how to improve the economy and remain competitive in the regional and global arena,” he says.
