> A prize pool of RM24,000 is up for grabs at the Tech 4 Good Challenge 2024, which is now open for registration and proposal submission via www.vitrox.edu.my/tech-4-good-challenge.

> Organised by ViTrox Technologies and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FICT), the competition is inviting Malaysian secondary and tertiary students to form teams of three. The goal is to address real-world problems confronting society today by utilising the engineering design process.

> The competition comprises two categories: Category 1 is open to students from Forms One to Five (SPM), Years Eight to 11 (IGCSE) and Junior and Senior High 1, 2 and 3 (UEC); Category 2 is open to undergraduates, including those taking the STPM, A-Levels and foundation programmes.

> Contestants can choose from three tracks, namely, well-being, agriculture and environment.

> The challenge will unfold in two phases: the qualifying round and the prototype development phase leading to the grand finale, slated to take place on July 6 at ViTrox Campus 2.0 in Batu Kawan, Penang.

> All qualified teams in Category 1 will be assigned a coach to provide support during the prototype development phase.

> Tech 4 Good Challenge, which is now entering its second year, aims to promote science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) among students.
