UM ‘Cuties’ nail USD10k top prize

CALLING themselves “The Cuties”, five students at Universiti Malaya (UM) did the country proud when their team emerged the Asean champion at a recent competition that saw the participation of over 100 teams from Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines.

Open to pre-university and university students, the Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Sustainathon 2021 challenged participants to conceptualise innovative ideas and sustainability-focused solutions by leveraging technology with the “Reimagining Education” theme in mind.
