Malaysians win awards for AI solutions


AN artificial intelligence (AI) system capable of monitoring carbon dioxide emissions from an automobile and sending an alert in the event of a rise in its level was among the innovative ideas being feted at a global event held recently.

The brainchild of Malaysian student Mohd Farith Ibrahim, it earned him the recognition of “Grand Prize Winner” in the “AI Enthusiasts” (over 18s) category at the Intel AI Global Impact Festival.
