The higher the qualification of an educator, the greater the significance he or she will have on a preschooler’s development.
But as of 2017, only 44.4% of preschool teachers have at least a diploma in early childhood education (ECE), according to SEGi University, which was recently approved by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) to conduct the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning for the Award of Academic Qualifications (APEL.Q) in Diploma in Early Childhood Education (DECE).
