Schools reopen next week

SK Lubuk Kawah, Jertih, Year Six pupil Muhammad Khalish Aqeel Azizi, 12, has been busy helping his father in Kampung Gaung during the year-end school holidays.

Besides feeding the livestock every morning, he also ensures that the rabbits have enough to eat and drink.As the eldest of three siblings, Muhammad Khalish Aqeel helps with the chores as his parents are government servants who return home late each day.He obtained 1A and 5Bs in the recent UPSR and hopes to enter Form One in a religious school next year.School reopen in all states on Jan 2 and a day earlier in Johor, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu.According to the Education Ministry’s website, there will be 198 school days and 75 holidays. - Bernama
