Having fun with English: MMC Gamuda KVMRT (PDP SSP) Sdn Bhd sponsored 10,000 copies of The Star’s Newspaper-in-Education (NiE) pullouts, which benefited 11 selected schools in the Klang Valley. The corporation’s project management department senior engineers Mohd Farid Khalid (in orange) and Muzie Sham Sumairi (middle, holding pullout and in black T-shirt) paid a visit to one of the schools, SMK Cyberjaya, Selangor, to see how the English language resource is being put to good use. The school principal Nurul Aini Chan Abdullah (in pink tudung) commended the effort by MMC. “The pullout is an alternative learning material other than the textbook. Students are also encouraged to read the newspaper and stay abreast of current issues.
