Some facts about BJSS

Location: A 5.7ha site at the National Sports Complex, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

Programme: Secondary school athletes train twice a day, in the morning and evening, with classes in between. Students who represent Malaysia normally go for training overseas before tournaments. The five-year programme ends with students sitting for the SPM exam but interested students can continue with pre-university studies. They can then enrol in a sports science programme jointly organised by Universiti Putra Malaysia and the National Sports Council (NSC), or other programmes if they meet the grades. The students’ academic, discipline and sports performances are reviewed in Form Three and Form Five.
