CALEB Choo Jia Sheng is only 10, but he already has a place in the Malaysia Book of Records as the “Youngest to complete a professional drum course”. He recently passed Trinity College London’s Grade Eight Advanced Level examination in Music Performance on the drum kit, at the age of nine years, 10 months and 11 days.
This is no mean feat as the Rockschool syllabus not only assesses candidates’ technical skills but also evaluates their timekeeping, style of performance and notational accuracy.
