KOLEJ Disted-Stamford staff members had a joint celebration to mark Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Deepavali and Christmas recently. The event was organised by the college’s staff association, known as SMART (Social, Motivational and Recreational Team).
SMART president Susie Khoo, who is also head of the School of Hospitality Management, said: “In the spirit of these festivities, let’s think of and care for each other and treasure the best of our friendships.
“Look to your right, left and back, and offer your wishes, hugs, handshakes and kisses to strengthen our collegiality,” Khoo said in her welcome address.
Disted vice-president Dr Koo Wee Kor lighted a kuttu villaku (traditional Indian lamp) to launch the celebration, which saw staff members having a good time at the high tea. Some of them performed songs and dances and led their colleagues in belting out Raya and Christmas tunes.
