Think international

I REFER to the story entitled “Going International” (StarEducation, Sept 11) and would like to offer my thoughts on how to promote Malaysia as an educational hub.

International schools have been in Malaysia since Independence. They were set up by foreign missions, corporations and parents to cater to the children of expatriates in Malaysia. They teach a foreign syllabus in order to prepare the children for re-assimilation when they return to their home countries.
