THE strength of this campus by the sea, otherwise known as Kolej Universiti Sains dan Teknologi Malaysia (Kustem), lies in the areas of oceanography and marine sciences.
This fact was acknowledged in the Unesco Advisory Mission of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission report which points out the presence of highly trained and experienced marine scientists at Kustem.
