HUNDREDS of Malaysian students are turning to Indonesia to pursue that most popular of programmes – medicine.
Although the Malaysian Government has been placing students in 11 of the country's universities to pursue their medical degrees for the past two decades, it was only in 1998 that non-government sponsored students were accepted into these universities.
