WHEN Helen O’Grady first started her academy in Perth in 1979, little did she know that what she started would, one day, become an institution that would have an impact on the lives of children all over the world and change the career paths of adults as well
For that is exactly what happened to two friends from Johor Baru (JB) just a year ago. Bored with their jobs as a lawyer and a social worker respectively, they decided to enrol in a course that resulted in them opening the only centre down south that offered children an alternative means of development through drama – the Helen O’Grady centre in JB.
