IIUM selects Oracle for student registration system

WITH a student population of almost 20,000 in four campuses, managing the database can be rather difficult, let alone ensuring its accuracy. Hence, it must have been a relief for the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) when its in-house developed student registration application system finally went live.

“Our challenge was to find an enterprise solution to handle this large capacity without sacrificing on performance and availability,” said IIUM's Director of IT Division, Dr Mohamad Fauzan Noordin.
