THERE’S nothing like taking part in a Star-NiE contest to add a dash of variety to English language lessons. Schools like MRSM Langkawi, SMK Bukit Goh and Methodist Girls School in Penang made it into a class activity and as a result, sent in scores of entries.
The contest, which appeared in the August NiE pullout required students to create a movie scene from a book or story they have read. Students had to construct the scene by cutting out pictures of two people from The Star.
