Focus on literature component


WITH literature being re-introduced in the school syllabus, teachers have a lot more on their plate. Not only do they have to deal with students who have a low proficiency in English, they have to grapple with the relatively difficult prescribed texts and make the literature class more interesting. 

To address these problems and more, the Malaysian English Language Teaching Association (Melta) has included Literature as one of the main discussion areas at its upcoming Seventh Biennial International Conference to be held from May 18 to 20.
