I refer to the letter by David Ling (“Watch out for scams in paper chase ” in Star Education, March 23). He mentioned the degree mills advertised in the local newspapers. If they are really degree mills, then I would advise him to expose them publicly or to lodge a complaint with the Education Ministry so that their ads are banned.  

I do agree that degree mills are cheating the public and they should not be allowed to operate. But this is easier said than done. As long as there is demand for such fake degrees, these degree mills will continue to flourish.
