WE have hitched a ride on a rocket and none of us knows where it is going,” said journalist John Naughton when discussing the Internet, much touted as a revolutionary and fundamental force that will affect all areas of life. However, the full capacity of the Internet – whether in education, business, healthcare, publishing – is anyone's guess. 

The role the Internet can play in education will be among the topics discussed at the upcoming Malaysian English Language Teaching Association's (Melta) Seventh Biennial International Conference.
