Talk to teachers and study hard

I REFER to Yap Lian Chin's letter The myth of taking tuition (Star Education Feb 23). I agree with the writer that tuition is really not necessary if students study hard, and that teachers are not 100% at fault if students don't do well in exams. 

I am a student at SMK Alam Megah in Shah Alam, Selangor, and will be sitting for my SPM
