A UNIQUE elephant statue at the Sri Sithi Vinayagar Temple in Jalan Bagan Luar, Butterworth, believed to be one of its kind in Malaysia, will be unveiled during the temple’s grand kumbhabishegam (consecration ceremony) on Sunday.
Temple chairman V. Selvaraj said the 2.1m-high statue made of cement, was unique as it incorporated nine Sakthis (consort of Lord Shiva) to form an elephant.
