Jerip denies support for illegal logging

KUCHING: Sarawak Assistant Minister for Public Health Datuk Dr Jerip Susil strongly denies that he is supporting the ongoing illegal logging and a proposed oil palm plantation in the forest area in Kampung Danu, Jalan Puncak Borneo, about 55km from here.

Jerip, who is the state assemblyman for Bengoh, dismissed claims to that effect by certain individuals. The proposed oil palm plantation has yet to receive the approval of the Sarawak Land and Survey Department.
