A GIRL who shied away from society for much of her adolescent life due to her disability has made her parents proud by being the first in her family to gain entry into university.
Nur Jannaton Abdul Jalil, whose legs are deformed since birth due to a medical condition, said she began to keep to herself when she was 12 after she was teased by children who looked at her strangely.
