THE Penang Panthers’ dream of a quick promotion back to the Super League turned out to be a big nightmare when their plans against their northern neighbour Kedah failed.

In a match where Penang needed all three points to bring their promotion battle against the lavish-spending Felda United FC right down the wire, they only managed to secure a 1-1 draw and it immediately told on them.
