Yap: Act against water project delay

KUCHING: SUPP Youth Central has expressed grave concern and shock with the 2013 Auditor General’s Report that two longhouses in the interior had been denied treated water supply although the facility was completed two years ear- lier.

The RM1.5mil Rumah Sebeliau Geliung project, which was supposed to channel clean treated water to the two longhouses, had been completed in April 2011 but the residents were still using rainwater, gravity pipe and the river for their daily needs when the audit team visited them in August 2013.
