BE amazed by the Penang Municipal Park’s moonlit scenery and help make the state a cleaner, greener and healthier place by participating in the upcoming ‘Delta Eco Night Run 2014’.
The charity event on Aug 30 will check in participants from 7pm and flag off time is at 8.30pm.
Organising chairman Arthur Toh said its aim was to raise RM25,000 to clean rivers in Padang Lalang, Bukit Mertajam, and Seri Delima in George Town.
“Last year, we had 1,700 participants but we are limiting this year’s event to 1,500 due to the space constraint.”
To create environmental awareness, participants who dress up in the most creative environmental friendly way can win shopping vouchers worth more than RM1,000 as prizes.
Participants are also entitled to lucky draws with prizes worth more than RM12,000, including four-day-three-night Phuket/Krabi cruise packages onboard SuperStar Libra, iPhones, iPads and many more.
The competitive section is divided into six categories — men/women’s junior (aged 13 to 17), men/women’s senior (18-34) and men/women’s veteran (35 and above).
The registration fee for all categories is RM45, and participants are entitled to one limited edition dry-fit T-shirt and a goodie bag with LED merchandise items.
Delta Business Solutions Sdn Bhd as part of its corporate social responsibility is holding it for the third time.
The Lions Club of George Town is the co-organiser and the event has the endorsement of the Penang government.
