Landowner sees red over illegal felling of Yellow Meranti

SIBU: A landowner in Sungai Menuan Poi, Kanowit has alleged that 11 of his Yellow Meranti trees were illegally felled by loggers recently.

The complainant, Frankie Jubang, told a press conference yesterday that the saddest part was that despite his uncle Ugap Sambang helping him to lodge a police report on the matter, the authority concerned was non committal in taking action against the culprits.
