Set up centralised body on hillslope development

The Expert Standing Committee on Slope Safety has proposed that a centralised body under the Federal Government be set up to oversee and provide technical expertise on hillslope development for all 149 local councils in the country.

“There is a need for such a body especially because most local authorities do not have the relevant expertise to deal with the matter,” committee chairman Datuk Dr Gue See Sew said.
