Crying with joy over spilled milk

THE cries of Ponggalo Ponggal were heard all over the Penang Hindu Endowment Board office complex as a large crowd came together to celebrate the Ponggal (Harvest) festival.

Excitement was written all over their faces as they waited in anticipation for the milk and rice mixture in earthen pots to boil over. When that happened, laughter was heard as it signified good luck ahead.
